The Cotterells have owned the 2,500 acre Garnons Estate in Herefordshire since the late 18th Century and Sir Harry Cotterell is the seventh generation of his family to live in the big house and to manage the estate. A past president of the CLA, Sir Harry is chairman of Fisher German, the leading firm of land agents, as well as being a director of Wye Fruit, the packing organisation. Appropriately, Garnons is one of the leading producers of apples for the cider industry and a major supplier to Bulmers, as well as Westons and Thatchers.
“I recently moved all my insurances to Weatherbys Hamilton where they are looked after by one of the partners, Martin Wright. Not only have I achieved a very satisfactory premium saving but Martin has given me great confidence that he and Weatherbys Hamilton completely understand my business and are able to react quickly and efficiently to anything that I need. With all the usual diversity of a mixed estate, it is crucial to me to be able to relate to my insurance broker and to know that they are totally on their game. I have no doubts at all on that score and that they should be considered by any estate owner when reviewing their insurances”
Sir Harry Cotterell Bt OBE | Estate owner
